The Kingdom Resort Boasts New Entertainment Area

The Kingdom Resort's entertainment tent has been replaced with a new permanent structure. The 80-seater Café and Cocktail Bar, located at the pool area, has undergone the final stages of its metamorphosis.

After an initial set of renovations the original entertainment tent structure was damaged during a storm. After considering many bespoke options, the basic structure has been fully transformed. This led us to the development and design of the new area which we're very proud of.

The space was designed to adapt to our ever-changing climate but had to maintain an inviting comfortable atmosphere. The rigid, permanent steel structure shares the same profile as the units and space-age insulation keeps it cool in the scorching summers and warm in the winter. Further design elements were drawn from the units to echo the same feel and this was achieved by incorporating the stone cladded pillars that now frame the entrance to the Café and Cocktail bar. The open plan area has been retained by using retractable sides that offer shelter from inclement weather as well as framing the space allowing a fantastic al fresco feel in the summer. Guests will be able to enjoy tranquil views and enjoy the sounds of the pool and water features. During wintertime and cooler weather the insulating sides will come down and the area will be heated up by six gas powered space heaters.

The refurbished restaurant offers many clever uses of the space. It allows for a formal restaurant set-up during peak season's breakfast and dinner times. It can easily be transformed to a casual ambiance for laid back lunches. There are two couches between the restaurant and entertainment area offering guest an area to sit back and relax.

Let's not forget about the entertainment! Keeping up with the latest sporting event will be a blast with the addition of two 65" LED HD TV's allowing guests to watch their favourite team in action! The entertainment area is always a hub of activity for the young and young at heart. Here you'll find a pool table, tennis table and foosball. For the smaller children there is a play area in clear view of the restaurant, allowing parents to relax during a meal, while the young ones burn some energy.

Outside of the dining and games area you'll also find a brand new boma area where you can enjoy long evenings around a bonfire, meeting new people and taking in the holiday atmosphere.
